The department of Catechesis (Suvara) coordinates all the activities of faith formation of the children in the Eparchy. This department is headed by the director who is assisted by a team of priests, religious and lay people. The eparchy is divided into thirteen catechetical foranes and each one is guided by a priest director (Forane Director) assisted by a team of faith formators (Catechism teachers). There is regular religious instruction and faith formation programmes on every Sunday for the children between the ages of 4 to 17.
Programs – Current Year
Kaavalvilakk: one day training programs for faith formators and for parents of the Sunday school children.
Holy Family: Full / half day seminar for the parents of the children who receive solemn Holy Communion.
Uthanothsavam: an integral and intensive 5 days’ formation for catechetical students during summer vacation with various activities.
BTC & CTC Course: Catechists’ Training Programmes
Teachers’ Seminar: One day seminar based on the theme of the year.
Teachers’ Quiz based on specific topics.
Life line: Two days orientation programme for the children of Std VIII.
