CITADEL RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL, Ranni, is a Christian Minority Co-educational institution managed by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirapally. It was established in 1992. Since its inception, it has evolved into a premier co-educational institution imparting quality education and shaping the educational landscape of the state. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and follows the curriculum of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

From a small and humble beginning CITADEL completed 28 years of exemplary educational services this year having many an ups and downs along the way.

HOSTEL

Hostel facilities provided to students at CITADEL aims at the holistic development of an individual. Children are raised in a spiritual atmosphere with morning prayers, moral lessons, and celebrations of festivals and traditions. The hostellers follow a prescribed schedule which is strictly adhered to in order to imbibe discipline and create a healthy routine for life. It starts with Jogging in the morning and ends with evening sports and study. Hostels are well furnished and have all the facilities that help the children to live and grow in an environment that they can identify as their home. Hostel Warden, teachers and trained staff members are available round-the-clock ensuring utmost attention and that the students needs are fully met.

  • San Jude CITADEL Boys Hostel

San Jude CITADEL Boys Hostel is managed by a priest of the Diocese with teachers to assist in guiding and instructing the hostellers. It provides boarding with the most modern amenities, personal study, attached toilet, dining halls and laundry. A homely atmosphere is maintained in the boarding and utmost care is given to their academic, spiritual, social and moral growth and personality development.

The following are the specialties of boy’s hostel

  • Each study cum bedroom, has an attached bathroom and accommodated six students
  • Rooms are furnished and well ventilated
  • Hot water and potable water facility
  • Recreation hall and colour TV in general area

  • St. John’s Girls Convent

St. Johns girls’ convent is managed by the Rev. Sisters who are assisted by teachers to guide and instruct the hostellers. It provides boarding with the most modern amenities, personal study, attached toilet, dining rooms and laundry. A homely atmosphere is maintained in the boarding and utmost care is given to their academic, spiritual, social, moral growth and personality development.
