The centre for Catechesis is known as Suvara. It coordinates all the activities of faith formation of the children in the Eparchy. This department is headed by the director who is assisted by a team of priests, religious and lay people. The eparchy is divided into thirteen catechetical foranes and each one is guided by a priest director (Forane Director) assisted by a Forane secretary and a team of faith formators (Catechism teachers). There is regular religious instruction and faith formation programmes on every Sunday for the children between the ages of 4 to 17.
Uthanothsavam: an integral and intensive 5 days’ formation for catechetical students during summer vacation with various activities.
BTC & CTC Course: Catechists’ Training Programmes
Teachers’ Seminar: One day seminar based on the theme of the year.
Teachers’ Quiz based on specific topics.
Life line: Two days orientation programme for the children of Std VIII.
Family and Nature oriented Faith formation
Family is the source and powerhouse of the divine worship and the miniature of the global church. Our theme of this year is Family and the Nature.
