Mar Thomas Kozhimala was born in the parish of Mulamkunnu near Mundakayam.  After S.S.L.C.  he joined St. John’s Minor Seminary Bhagalpur and was ordained priest on November 17, 1970. He served the diocese as Vicar General. While he was Rectore of the minor Seminary, he was appointed bishop of Bhagalpur in 1996. His demise was on his way to a major Hospital in Patna for better treatment for Malaria.
